Christine Leow

Senior Producer
24 years of experience

Research, writing, filming, interviewing, voicing, presenting, studio directing – in the over two decades in the media industry, Christine has had a hand in all of these. Many of the programmes she worked on, including Talking Point and Crimewatch, continue to be flagship programmes on MediaCorp.

The seven years she was in charge of the trailers and promotions team of Channel NewsAsia and its programme commissioning arm helped her develop a keen eye for story-telling. Through the corporate videos she produced for NTUC, Ministry of Finance and CapitaLand Group as Channel News Asia’s product development manager, Christine deepened her skill in understanding and meeting clients’ needs. She is also a versatile writer, adept at various genres –  business programmes (The Centennials and The Centennials Asia), sports (National School Games Singapore 2010 and 2013), game shows (Don’t Trash That!), docu-drama (The Extraordinary People), health (Mind Your Body) and politics (Insight).

Today, she is able to adapt her writing style to suit the needs of her clients whether it is lifestyle pieces for CapitaLand and, business stories for SPH Content Studio, issue-based articles for Singapore Tourism Board and NTUC or analytical reports for the National Population and Talent Division.

Because of her love for writing, she also trains students and adults to write. She has combined her expertise in the writing and her experience in the media to conduct workshops for hundreds of officers from the Ministry of Education (both headquarters and schools) as well as the Land Transport Authority to manage public feedback in writing.

A graduate of the National University of Singapore with an Honours degree in English Language, Christine’s idea of a perfect day is one spent with a Margaret Atwood book in one hand and a giant blueberry muffin in another.
